Australiaโ€™s property market is performing so well that NAB has dramatically increased its price growth forecasts for 2023 and 2024.

NAB now expects the price of the average capital city dwelling to increase by 4.7% in 2023 and 5.0% in 2024.

Just three months earlier, NAB forecast a 3.8% decline in 2023 followed by a 4.3% rebound in 2024.

"We have revised up our expectation for dwelling prices based on the recent resilience and outlook for strong housing demand in the near term, while supply growth continues to be challenged by higher rates and supply-side pressures," NAB said.
